Charles is a co-founder of HKD. He leads the organization and participates in sales, R & D, and manufacturing. He's an alumnus of St. Lawrence University and has his MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth. He loves sports, enjoys the outdoors, and is a proud father of four. Ian is an original member of HKD and had the pleasure of climbing creosote poles back when they were used to support the first HKD towers. IOR, as we call him, graduated from St. Lawrence and received his MBA from Clarkson. He oversees sales and marketing. When away from HKD, IOR is a family man and can be found on the sidelines coaching youth soccer and lacrosse.

Anni keeps the family at HKD in check. She graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in History and Economics. Prior to starting HKD, she owned and operated several retail stores in Faneuil Hall, Boston and Hanover, NH. Anni and her husband Charles have three boys and a girl. She loves to read and ride horses, but not at the same time.

Mark oversees the Ontario market, and works closely with our marketing team, and our sales and tech support team in the western U.S. He raced alpine competitively for Buck Hill in Minnesota and later at Montana State University. Before snowmaking, Mark co-founded a snowboard company and an e-commerce venture while living in San Francisco. His experiences navigating the entrepreneurial landscape have greatly influenced his perspectives on both business and life. Mark lives in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, with his family.

Phil joined HKD in 2011 and is responsible for sales and tech support in the Western U.S. He is a master electrician and graduated from Colorado Christian University with a BS in Computer Science. Phil and his wife Brooke reside in Grand Junction, Colorado and have four sons.

Scott joined HKD in 2013. He spent seven years as the Snowmaking & Slopes Manager at Wintergreen Resort, VA. Scott joined the vendor side in 2011 and has had a continued focus on automation ever since. When he isn't working on the mountain, he spends time with his wife and two children in Virginia, and builds furniture from scratch.

Ben joined HKD in 2015. Prior to joining HKD, Ben worked six years with Techno Alpin, focusing on snowmaking automation and fan and tower gun technical support. Ben has skied since the age of 3 and is a committed and passionate outdoor enthusiast. On occasion he can be found at “Thirsty Thursdays” in Park City, discussing the various details of snowmaking strategy.

Most of us mowed lawns as a teen but not Nate. He was running a snowcat at Wachusett Mountain. He later jumped to snowmaking and hasn't looked back. Nate joined HKD in 2017, after gaining experience in all aspects of Low-E snowmaking. He rips on a bike and skis, and relishes his time in the Green Mountains with his wife and 2 daughters.

Martin est plongé dans le domaine de ski depuis 1977. En 1991, il a commencé EMP, un distributeur d'enneigement qui a vendu et entretenu les produits HKD. Après la fusion entre HKD et Turbocristal, Martin se joint à l'équipe HKD Turbo pour gérer tous les efforts de ventes au Québec. Martin has been working with customers for over 20 years and launched his snowmaking career with Turbocristal as a sales and service rep from 2003 to 2007. Martin made Mont-Sainte-Anne Ski Area home, and was their head Alpine Coach for 6 years, and area manager for 2 years. Prior to joining HKD, Martin worked with Prinoth for 9 years as the Eastern Canada Regional Manager.

JP oversees the HKD team and factory in Canada. He has assembled a stellar team of experienced and passionate individuals to ensure the HKD factory is humming for many years to come. JP has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Laval University and is an incredible father to his four children.

Frederick has been a production manager in various plants since 2010. Process improvement, collaboration, and optimization are part of his DNA. Fred is a unifier and motivator and results oriented. Fred is a former top athlete and still trains intensively. This allows him to indulge in his favorite hobby without remorse: cooking on the grill.

Max joined our team in June 2018 after more than 10 years in the marine automation business. Striving for a new challenge, he discovers that snow is the new water!! Max's addition to our team is another step forward for HKD in becoming the snowmaking automation leader. He likes to spend time with his family, making maple syrup and whisky tasting.

Mylene has 15+ years of experience in accounting and holds an MBA. With her team Mylène initiated the move to paperless accounting. In addition to playing with numbers, she enjoys racking up miles on her road and mountain bikes. Her relaxation tools are downhill skiing, running, and swimming.

Nicole handles day-to-day logistics at the Quebec Factory since 2004. She keeps the team well organized and on track. Ask Nicole's son what he would like to be and guess what he will answer - "A Snowmaker".

Michele has worked in the ski industry for over 30 years and began her career as a ski instructor. With her certificate in human resources management, she obtained a position as HR coordinator for several years at Mont-Sainte-Anne Ski Resort. In 2013, she was promoted to Director of Operations for the resort, a role she held for 7 years before joining the HKD team in January 2021. Michèle is an avid cross-country skier and completes her winters with downhill skiing and snowshoeing.

Jean-Philippe is an electrician with extensive expertise in the manufacturing, marine and construction sectors. He knows his way around the factory floor and is focused on product quality. JP has been skiing since the age of 5 and snowboarding since he was 12, and an overall sports enthusiast.

Michael joined HKD in 2014 as a project manager in engineering, R&D and construction. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the École de technologie supérieure. Michael is currently the Systems Engineering lead and assists with snowmaking and pump house installations. He enjoys skiing, playing hockey, and spending quality time with his family.

Mathieu is a technician in mechanical engineering. He is a designer supervised by Joel for research and development of new products. When he is not drafting or testing new product, he is playing music in his band or training for a karate competition.

Frank is one of our product assembly gurus and keeps a close eye on the QC of our products. Frank is also one of our standout educators for the HKD Academy, providing training to customers at our Quebec facility. You’ll also find Frank traveling throughout Quebec providing after-sales support for HKD customers.

Patrick studied at Champlain College and earned a certificate in business administration. Prior to HKD, he worked in the movie industry as Director of Operations for Cineplex Entertainment. In 2015, he joined the Centre Vidéotron in Quebec City where he set up their purchasing and supply department. Patrick is a big fan of hockey and tennis, both as a player and spectator.

Max has been with the HKD since 2006 and has played many important roles. In addition to managing our parts department, he provides in-house customer support. When he's not spending time with his three kids, Max is probably off doing something that involves adrenaline and high speed.

Alexandre holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. Alex plans the company's resources in order to maximize production. He’s focussed automating as many processes as possible to make work flow easier and more efficient. His passion is music and he’s always up for playing big parties.

Before taking the helm of iSNO in 2021, Ken enjoyed 22 years at Loon Mountain in various management roles including, snowmaking, snow surfaces, and special projects. Prior to Loon, Ken spent 4 years as an active-duty U.S. Marine, maintaining attack helicopters across the Pacific and Indian Oceans, and the Persian Gulf and Red Sea. Ken is married and the father of two active teenage girls who love sports and rip on skis. Ken is also a hobby machinist and enjoys making and repairing parts for friends and local businesses.

Lance got his start in the automation business over 25 years ago with Snomatic Controls & Engineering. He was responsible for the original development and support of iSNO and KLiK automation software, and instrumental to the success of both products. He is uniquely cool under pressure and an absolute wizard in supporting customers. Lance is based in Lyme, NH where he continues to drive the development and support of HKD and iSNO software.

Erik started his snowmaking career with Snomatic Controls & Engineering in 2016. He joined the iSNO team in 2018 and supports the Back End development of iSNO software and databases. Erik has one of the more enticing remote iSNO offices and is a short bike ride to the surf of San Diego beaches. When he’s not on his bike or skiing in SoCal, he enjoys playing music and spending time with friends and family.

Caiden graduated from Maine Maritime Academy in 2020 with a B.S. in Power Engineering Technology. Saying Caiden is passionate about snowmaking is an understatement. He began making snow in his backyard at the age of 10, and years later automated his home system. While in college, Caiden worked the night shift at Camden Snowbowl, making snow when he wasn’t studying. He lives in Chaplin, CT with his wife Caitlin and his two dogs, Henry, and Scout.

Scott graduated from Amherst College in 2022 with a B.A. in Computer Science and Music. He has experience in data structures, parallel computing, and artificial intelligence. At iSNO, his focus is on the Front End, ensuring our software is intuitive and highly responsive. When he’s not cranking on code, he’s hiking or biking. Also noteworthy, Scott was the NESCAC Champion in 2022 for swimming, and is an accomplished singer and actor.

Andrew is the son of Ian Jarrett and is responsible for the consultative selling & social media marketing of HKD Blue’s dust suppression technology in the North America region. Andrew, like his father, attended St. Lawrence University where he spent 4 years playing lacrosse. Andrew loves outdoor activities like fly fishing, golfing, & mountain biking.
